Steph VanderMeulen

Belleville, Ontario, Canada

Since 2003, I’ve helped countless clients polish academic non-fiction, theses, journal articles, ad-copy, short stories, novels (including translated fiction), and general non-fiction.

I also write reading guides for publishers’ books, which is fun because they facilitate the discussion of enthusiastic readers about the books they experience together.

I’ve been a student of creative writing and have had several writing mentors. Now I coach creative writing as a TA for Giller-nominee Sarah Selecky and her popular course Story is a State of Mind, as well as offer my own one-on-one short story critiques and 7-week creative writing coaching.

It’s been through writing my blog, Bella’s Bookshelves, that I’ve gained more excellent clients, done work with the CBC, been invited to be on panels at literary events, and been asked to write guest posts or weigh in on award events.

Visit the Work with Me pages on my site for further details on what I can do for you.
