Hello, I am Stephan Scheffer and I was raised in the Netherlands. I am married to Lorenza and she is from Peru. Furthermore I have my parents and younger brother who also live in the Netherlands.

My personality is geared to interacting with people and I have a passion for nature. Furthermore I like to have amusing and funny conversations, that enables me to know other people better. Also I like to do activities in the outdoors with my wife and friends, like cycling and hiking, that reflect my curiousity.

After finishing my study of biology, I wanted to share my passion for nature and combine that with my interest for people. With that in mind I chose the World Teachers Programe to become a teacher in Biology for the secondary school.

I can say that I really like teaching the adolecents, which gives me a lot energy and joy. I teach currently science (year 2) and biology (year 3), which is fine.

Being a CLIL teachers means taking into account the different cultural backgrounds of the pupils and their cognitive abilities to learn and apply English in my subject, this is challenging but makes it worthwhile.

Lastly, participating in a telecollaborative exchange is really nice and feels familiar since in my biology study I was a member of AEGEE, that is founed on cultural exchange. Here I participated in exchanges with Romania and Poland.

Now that I introduced myself, I would really like it that you tell me something about YOU!
