Stephanie Zhan

Stephanie Zhan is a partner at Sequoia Capital, where she invests in early-stage founders building toward an AI-defined future. Driven by a deep belief in self-agency and a bias for action, she partners with teams at the very beginning, often as their first believer. She currently serves on the boards of Linear, Reflection AI, Ricursive Intelligence, and Skild AI, companies advancing everything from developer collaboration to open-source superintelligence, AI chip design, and robotics. Zhan’s perspective was shaped early: she grew up across Asia as the internet reached a billion people, taught herself to code by making simple games, and went on to study computer science at Stanford during the early days of AI.
