Stephanie Mayberry
Writer, Photographer, and Public Speaker in Charleston, South Carolina
Hello! I am a writer and SEO/AEO specialist living in Southeastern Louisiana, but I didn't always lead such a peaceful, carefree life. A few years ago I made a daring escape from the "cube farm" at a Federal Agency in Washington, D.C. (after eight very long years) where I worked. as an analyst focusing on disaster response, technical writing, program management, and FOIA.
While I have been, for the most part, a part-time freelance writer since the late 1990's, I have been a deliriously happy, full-time freelancer since March 2013. It suits my natural introvert tendencies and eliminates the three-hour, round-trip commute each day – uphill, both ways, in a blizzard, without shoes (OK, I had shoes – quite stunning shoes, actually).
Recent publications include: Chicken Soup for the Soul; The Power of Gratitude, Transitions Magazine (Canadian Publication), Parachute for Mapquest, and Mobile RVing. I attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana where I majored in Political Science and Philosophy, staying true to my slightly left of center (but completely endearing) personality.
My unique view of the world allows me to approach a project from unexpected directions, much to the delight of my readers. In turn, my solid grasp of SEO and thorough research are a great delight to my clients. They also highly value my innate ability to breathe life into a brand, giving dimension and perspective to its voice.
My commitment to provide my clients with unmatched customer service is what keeps them coming back – or it could just be the cookies. Clients love cookies.
