My life has been a blessing for the most part. I am married with 3 teenage boys. Two of them are twins and my other one is two and a half yrs younger. Since having children, I have wanted to be a teacher. I have a sense of humor, and am a good communicator. I want to help the students grow to be responsible adults. I hope I can make a difference.
When I begin to teach beginning Chemistry to 8th graders during my block, it was very important to read the TEKS posted on the classroom site to understand what is expected to learn. The students would begin this unit on understanding what is matter and what it is composed of. Then we will learn about atoms and their structure. The students will then understand the dynamics of an atomic model. The students will learn how re-create an atom and understand number and placement of electrons. Then we will go on to learning the Periodic Table and begin to understand how Mr. Mendeleve created it. The students will also be able to use chemicals to make other chemicals and understand how the formulation of elements makes another. Then there will be an assessment to see what they have learned.
My classroom Blog has all the right blogs about each lesson to help the students learn about beginning Chemistry. It will be necessary to understand each step to be able to learn the next step. My blog page will help the students understand and be able to post questions that they have.
Now I have finished my Masters in Educaiton, I am getting prepared to take the certification test to teach middle school Science.
