Call me Steph. Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
I'm a Rutgers University grad currently pursuing an M.Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs as well as working as Graduate Assistant of LGBT Programs at the University of South Carolina.
My passion for working with college students is two-fold. I believe that all students have the ability to lead and empower others. There is no cookie-cutter leadership personality or way of facilitating active change in a university setting. I want to help all students I work with to learn to trust their individual abilities to grow and learn inside and outside the classroom. I am also a proponent of social justice and equity in Higher Ed, All students should have access to a college education and I want to help create and maintain and environments for underrepresented, marginalized groups of students to find their voices and get the most out of their undergrad. Higher Ed should be an intersectional, inclusive, and welcoming experience for everyone.
My other identities include: foodie, feminist, avid social media geek, Nerdfighter, INFJ personality, lover of all things dog, aspiring Yogi, and long-time Britney Spears fan.
