Hughes
Writer in Pickering, Ontario, Canada
Born in Ontario, Canada in 1995, I had a multitude of aspirations though they all linked back to one common passion: the love of writing. Stories have gripped me since I was a child and followed me from elementary in Holy Redeemer, through high school at Saint Marys, and to post-secondary school at Ryerson. I currently work for a few sites such as Secrets of a Good Girl, Blind Times, Razmataz Canadian Music Magazine, MyCityZine, and the Ryerson's very own The Eye Opener.
I hope to one day break into a novelist career while maintaining a successful standing as a journalist. In highschool, I had finished writing a full-length novel which I hope may be good enough to publish. I am currently taking the journalism program at Ryerson University in Toronto. My main interests are politics, art, literature, film, music, and science - subjects I often write about. With experience, I am able to effectively write about what interests me and I have an eye for general news. I hope to work for a publication in the future as a steady job or be a high in-demand freelancer.
I look forward to working with a publication that is open-minded, forward-seeing, and willing to have me on board. In this news community, we can all strive for the same goal and work to achieve it.
