I am a movement and expressive arts therapist and was blessed to work with world-renowned artists and teachers Anna and Daria Halprin at the Tamalpa Institute in California for the last two years. I love to share my wonder and curiosity about our human bodies and the myths they hold.
What do our bodies say? What are our bodies telling us?
Whether you know it or not, you carry around a story inside of you, shaped by your life experiences. We experience our history and present way of being internally through our sensations, emotions and thoughts, and express it externally through our body language and movements.
Movement, our primary language, guides us to our deepest feelings and memories. By bringing awareness to this, by engaging with our bodies, we return home. And we can grow, change and heal from there.
Participate in your own myth
I am offering seminars and one-on-one sessions to support experiencing a somatic, mythic reality. You are invited to move, to paint, to tell stories that transmit your experiences to your conscious mind and to others. As you bring the unkown to the surface, an inherent, but often forgotten vitality of the body’s sense of self will reawaken.
Further more, creativity and arts free us from any unhealthy identification with our stories. Instead, they encourage and support us to take response-ability. We open up to a new play, new possibilities. We expand beyond our ordinary sense of being and create a new myth that serves our growth and well-being.
"Myths are primarily inward journeys. It is important to live life with the experience, and therefore the knowledge, of its mystery and your own mystery. This gives life a new radiance, a new harmony, a new splendor." - Joseph Campell
