My passion lies in listening. I listen and share stories and conversations in hopes that someone else would feel compelled enough to listen along.

My energy lies in media production and communication - finding the most effective and meaningful outlet to channel stories in hopes of building a better understanding of one another.

Stephanie Barraza is a Marketing Assistant with San Joaquin Valley Homes. She is a graduate from San Jose State University with a Bachelors in Magazine Journalism with a music emphasis. She worked as a staff reporter and production editor for the university's Spartan Daily over the course of two semesters. During that time, she interned with SHiFT Magazine as a staff writer.

Over the summer of 2013, she helped launch Visalia Local, a community media blog where she served as a contributing editor and writer. She also contributed writing for Tastemaker Magazine, a local culture magazine that coincided with a music and arts festival in Visalia, California.

Currently, she works as a marketing/accounting assistant with a Visalia-based homebuilder, where she assists in maintaining the company website, coordinates company events, and assists the accounting department.

She likes to read and write about society, culture, and mostly music, which her blog, Collective Noise, is aimed at.

She also has a deep love of traveling, particularly to Mexico, where her family is from.
