Stephanie Fedorchak

Student in Amherst, Massachusetts

I'm a rising senior at UMass Amherst on track to graduate in 2018 with a B.S. in psychology in the neuroscience concentration. In my undergraduate career, I have been fortunate to work in an on-campus lab as a research assistant.

The lab was the Morality, Violence, and Peace Lab run by Dr. Bernhard Leidner. My work was under then graduate student, now Dr. Mengyao Li, who was looking at how perceptions of inter-group conflict shifted over time.

In my senior year I will be working in the Moorman Lab, run by Dr. Moorman. I will be working with graduate student Carolina den Hartog on her project studying the neural mechanisms of addiction in mice. I will also be working with Dr. Moorman to complete my own honors thesis.

After graduation, I want to continue my work in research by working as a lab technician and eventually applying to graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. in neuroscience.
