Stephanie Hundt, M.A., is an advanced doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus. Her doctoral research examines the lasting cognitive and social-emotional impacts of childhood trauma. She also presents on the value of integrating psychoanalytically informed creative arts interventions to both individual and group psychotherapy. Finally, Stephanie works to engage scholarly inquiry to better understand the processes of teaching and learning at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Stephanie's current clinical practice includes short- and long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy with adolescents, adults, and couples, as well as integrative family work; she has also provided play therapy and family therapy for children as young as two years. When appropriate for an individual's emerging therapeutic needs, Stephanie also employs concrete skills-building interventions from other therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
