Portland, Oregon born and raised, I usually stick out wherever I go. Could be the afro. Could be that I'm pretty loud. Could be that I'm obviously bi-racial so I usually get a lot of strange guesses as to my cultural backgound.

Traveling to foreign places is the most exciting thing for me--I love meeting new people and experiecing different cultures, which is one of the reasons why I'm majoring in Japanese at Portland State University. I'm hoping that I can become fluent in the language and use it in some future career, whether it be translatlating or teaching.
