Stephanie Lenore Cangro
I'm a popular culture communicator, strategist, and freelance writer. Basically, that means that I consider all of the ways to successfully promote messages, content, and ideas through mainstream, digital, and social media - and then I write about them or develop strategies. In August 2013, I earned a M.A. in Strategic Communication from American University, where I researched and authored a capstone entitled When 'Girl' is a Four-Letter Word: A Case Study of Pussy Riot in Western and Social Media. Previously, I earned my B.A. from New York University's Gallatin School, where I designed a concentration focusing on the interaction of popular culture and society. My professional experiences include production and project management within the entertainment industry (specifically for television, film, and digital content), and specialized advertising to targeted demographics. My additional skills include writing, copy-editing, research, and media content creation. In my spare time, you can find me at the movies, reading, and drinking enormous amounts of coffee.
