Stephanie is back in Vancouver after shooting Maximum Choppage in Sydney, Australia. Maximum Choppage (Matchbox Pictures/ABC/NBCUniversal) is a new Australian kung-fu comedy series due to air on ABC2 later in 2014.
ABOUT ME
Stephanie is an Australian actress currently based in Vancouver, Canada. Having discovered a passion for acting in high-school, Stephanie then went on to study at Wollongong University, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Theatre-Performance. Since graduating, she has continued to polish her craft with Anthony Wong in the Chubbuck Technique, Kimberly Jentzen, Jeb Beach and Tony Alcantar.
Stephanie's most recent credit is as a lead in Maximum Choppage, a new Australian kung-fu comedy series that also stars Lawrence Leung and Dave Eastgate. She has also featured in Joel Edgerton's Australian film, Felony, released in 2013 and was an official selection at the Toronto International Film Festival. Other film and TV credits include Rescue: Special Ops (Southern Star), Rake (ABC), Packed To The Rafters (Channel 7), Home and Away (Channel 7), The Urban Monkey with Murray Foote (ABC), Monarch (Cornershop Production), Brolly (Polydigm Productions, won Best Fiction at the Irpen Film Festival). Stephanie has also performed on stage in productions of The Bacchae, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris Headlines, Hamlet and As You Like It.
A versatile and driven artist, Stephanie is also the Co-creator and Artistic Director of The Colour Blind Project, an independent theatre company dedicated to challenging and contributing to the cultural diversity in the Australian Arts. Stephanie has also performed in three productions for the company, including The Secret & The Shadow (part of The Colour Blind Project Short-Play Festival) and Shakespeare In Full Colour as part of The Sydney Fringe in 2010. The latter was developed and presented as part of Tamarama Rock Surfers 2012 season under the new title, Keep Smiling! The Housewife's Guide, in which Stephanie was involved as a producer, devisor and performer.
