Stephanie Lynn Tanner
Nurse, Mother, and educator in Hot Springs, South Dakota
Stephanie Lynn Tanner has been cultivating safe spaces and invoking the healing capacity of women since 2007. With fierce grace, she approaches women's health from a revolutionary perspective, striving to create accessible avenues for integrative healing. Stephanie is the owner of Sweetgrass Emporium, a line of handcrafted herbal products and blogs at bearmamamedicine.com.
A mother of three, co-parent, doula, activist, herbalist, and registered nurse, Stephanie has a fresh perspective on healing as it applies to gender politics, spirituality, and health care. Reducing health disparities by increasing self-worth on a community level, demanding justice from a place of joy, and cultivating daily self-care rituals for women in order to heal the planet- these themes capture the intimate and inclusive nature of Stephanie's work.
Stephanie has led classes on alternative womens health, sexuality and reproduction, and herbalism. She has also facilitated guided meditations, group bodywork sessions, and women's circles. She has served expectant families as a doula and childbirth educator, is a trained Community Health Worker through the Office of Women's Health (DHHS), and is currently a full-time RN at the nearest critical access hospital.
Stephanie is available for private health coaching and workshops on community building and holistic women's health in the Midwest US.
