Hi there! I’m Stephanie. I’m a senior at Plymouth State University and currently am student teaching at Plymouth Elementary School. For as long as I can remember I always wanted to be a teacher. I am very grateful for the opportunities that PSU has given me to allow me to achieve these long term goals and cannot believe I am already a Senior!

A little bit about me:I was born and raised on the North Side of Chicago in a suburbs called Arlington Heights. I am a huge Cubs and Bears fan and will always be until I die. (Which is basically a sin to say now that I live in New England) Any chance I get, you will catch me at Wrigley Field watching a Cubbies game! I have always been a huge sport fan even when I was littler. Before college I was a three season athlete playing basketball, volleyball and participating in track. Now, I coach while at the Elementary School and it feels great to share my passion with the younger kids. Sports are their life and they use to be mine as well so I can see a little bit of myself in them while coaching the young athletes. I am a huge Disney fan and any chance I get, my family and I love to take vacations to Disney World and relax in the sun. Disney World helps us all to be kids again.

Family life: I grew up with my mom, dad, and sister Elizabeth. We had no aunts, uncles, cousins, or grandparents so my family is pretty small. My parents both work in retail so holiday season is a busy one! Elizabeth is 18 years old and is now looking into going to college. She will be attending The University of Tampa in the Fall and I couldn't be more proud of my little sister. Plus, this gives me a great reason to go to Florida and catch some Vitamin D.

Work: Currently, I am a student at Plymouth State. With graduation fast approaching, I am sure feeling the pressure to get a "big girl" job. My plan right after graduation is to jump into my Masters and get a Special Education certification. I have always had a passion for Special Education and I am so fortunate that Plymouth State has a program to allow me to continue my dream.

I cannot wait to see where the rest of this year and few years to come take me. Even though my college undergrad is finishing up, I really think that this is where my life really starts. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me! :)
