Stephanos Stephou

Stephanos Stephou has a diverse professional background including policy making, political communication and public affairs. He has recently been appointed by the Cyprus Government as an Adviser to the Minister of Justice and Public Order. In 2012 he received a professional qualification in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in London. Mr. Stephou, has been actively involved in several political campaigns. In the 2013 Presidential elections, he was member of the campaign team which elected the current President of Cyprus. In 2011 he was the campaign manager responsible for the election of a Member of the Parliament who was elected 3rd out of 20 seats of the DISY party. Mr. Stephou has also worked as a Consultant for Deloitte and he was an Analyst to public policy projects and EU grants for governmental and local government departments. He maintains excellent relations with local media, has a thorough understanding of parliamentary procedures and maintains a solid network within the government. Additionally, he has a strong understanding of the region’s geopolitical landscape. Mr. Stephou has also been elected as a member of DISY Political Bureau. He holds an MSc in International Security from Birkbeck, University of London and a BSc in Politics and International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
