Stephanie Clark

As the end of my time here at Slippery Rock University approaches, I am in the process of completing all of my classes for my degree in Journalism with a minor in Sport Management, as well as fulfilling two internship requirements. In the Spring 2013 semester, I will be serving as a Sports Information Intern, with the Slippery Rock University Sports Information Office, where I will be responsible for gathering and reporting all of the information concerning the Women's Tennis team, as well as filling in addition coverage for Softball, Baseball, Lacrosse, and any other spring sport that may need addition coverage.

After the spring, I am looking for another internship in the summer. I am interested in the sport management or communication field, and would be willing to travel to where ever the opportunity may take me. By pursuing additional avenues in my field of study and traveling, I believe this will help me reach my fullest potential by not only having the experience from the Journalism internship in the spring, but also a Sport Management internship in the summer.

Upon completing these internships, I hope to have gained the necessary knowledge and skills that are needed to secure a job within the sports journalism field. Writing for Sports Illustrated, the SKATING magazine, working for a sports team, or compiling the information on the USFSA (United States Figure Skating Association) website would be just a few of my dream jobs.

Another goal of mine, I would like to accomplish, along with the ones listed above is to pursue and continue my love for ice- skating. I would like the opportunity to audition for Disney On Ice. I think this would be an opportunity of a lifetime to skate, tour the world and work all at the same time. It would be a dream come true for me.
