Stephen Straz learned early that craftsmanship comes from patience and doing things the right way. As a young kid, he was the one who stayed behind to finish a task properly, and that steady approach became the foundation of the career he has built. These early habits still guide how Stephen Straz works today.

He leads Straz Builders LLC on the South Shore of Massachusetts, working from offices in Marshfield and Pembroke. His company focuses on custom luxury homes, renovations, sustainable and energy-efficient communities, and real estate investments throughout the South Shore, Greater Boston, Cape Cod, and other parts of New England.

Stephen brings practical experience supported by strong credentials, including a Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor’s License, a Class A CDL with hazmat and passenger endorsements, and licenses in hoisting and hydraulics. Between 2018 and 2020, he oversaw about $12 million in real estate holdings, which included roughly $4 million in active construction and approximately $2 million raised from outside investors. One notable achievement during that time was the complete renovation and sale of 130 Gray Street in Arlington, which sold for $1.3 million, landing $130,000 above the asking price.

His design process centers on how people use space. He considers natural light, flow, and storage to shape layouts that support daily routines. A memorable yet straightforward feature he often includes is a long horizontal window in the kitchen backsplash, practically adding depth and light.

Stephen stays involved from the first zoning meeting to the final walk-through, maintaining clear communication so clients understand each stage of the build. His portfolio includes new construction, high-end renovations, and investment properties across Plymouth County, Norfolk County, Cape Cod, and the Lake Winnipesaukee region. His familiarity with coastal zoning, regional building rules, and energy standards helps him anticipate challenges before they appear.

He builds strong relationships with homeowners by laying out timelines, budgets, and milestones in plain, straightforward terms. Investors receive detailed proposals with schedules, cost breakdowns, contingency plans, and market-supported reasoning. His on-site leadership focuses on discipline, safety, and accountability.

Outside of work, he enjoys time outdoors with his family and stays active through a wide range of recreational and competitive activities.
