I'm currently studying at Columbia Journalism School and am enrolled in the Master of Science program for broadcast journalism. Born and raised in Philadelphia, I've interned with a number of area media outlets, working on print, broadcast and online journalism.

Now a temporary New Yorker, I'm a reporter for the New York Torch, a website managed by one of my classes that covers ethnic communities in New York City. My particular beat is covering the Trinidadian community, which lives primarily in Queens and Brooklyn.

I have a passion for writing and reporting on stories that hit home. I'm using the lessons learned at Columbia to foster a more well-rounded and versatile skill set as a multimedia journalist, having confidence that I will be employed by a news outlet upon graduation in May.
