I am an Earth scientist who uses physical, chemical and dynamical tools to understand the natural world. My research is field-, laboratory- and modeling-based, and explores the planetary scale geodynamic conditions that give rise to Earth and Earth-like planets.

At the Bavarian GeoInstitute (BGI) of the University of Bayreuth (Germany), I lead an ERC-funded Synergy project team in Geoastronomy. We are partnered with Kevin Heng's group at LMU-Munich (Germany) and Fabrice Gaillard's group at CNRS-Orleans (France). We collaborate extensively with the nuclear astrophysics group at the HUN-REN CSFK in Budapest, Hungary.
