Stephen Smart

Hello, I’m Stephen. I’m a teacher from Ontario living and working in China. I graduated from the University of Toronto in 2007 with a major in History and Political Science, then did my education degree at Queen's University in 2012.

In all, I've spent about 11 years living in China, with the last 7 teaching Social Studies at a British Columbia offshore secondary school. Almost all of my students are English language learners, which is what has motivated me to take this course this summer and hopefully take my teaching practices to a new level.

In my free time, I enjoy working on my Mandarin skills. I am a fan of photography, hiking, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. I’m also interested in following international politics.
