Stephen L. Tyler

Stephen L. Tyler began following his passion for photography while continuing a successful career in advertising and publishing as the Executive Research Director of Insights and Media Analysis for Conde Nast, publishers of the world renown brands Vogue, Conde Nast Traveler, Vanity Fair, Architectural Digest and more.

Though mostly self taught, he studied at the International Center for Photography in New York City and attended several photography workshops. Among Stephen's New York clients were the Hudson Park Apartment Community in Westchester County and a number of business establishments in both the City of Yonkers and New York City, producing architectural and portraiture photographs used for promotional materials as well as having several of his fine art images decorate office and lobby walls. His work has frequently been displayed in several artist exhibitions, and he was a continuing contributor of images for the City of Yonkers Downtown Waterfront Business Improvement District.

"I make it my goal to do at least one thing a day related to photography - if I don't, it's like I forgot to wake up..."

Currently living in the Philippines, Stephen has immersed himself in pursuing his passion for capturing people and places in their everyday environment through the lens of his camera. Traveling throughout Southeast Asia has provided an opportunity to a new landscape for exploring this passion. In 2012 his image of a jeepney on a beach "Race With The Sun" was awarded honorable mention in a country-wide photo competition and now hangs inside the U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines. This same image was also awarded with a Juror's Choice award and published in a coffee table book for Standard Chartered Bank's Nationwide Photography Competition. Stephen's first solo photography exhibition in the Philippines was held in April 2013, in Makati City.

Though his focus is now on photography, his extensive experience in the marketing and publishing fields allows him to remain available for knowledge sharing consulting as well as exploring contract photography assignments.
