Stephen W.L. Morgan is a Content Strategist and Partnership Relations Executive with over 20 years of leadership experience at the intersection of technology, content distribution, entertainment, and brands. Prior to this, Stephen was Vice President, International & Digital Synch Licensing at Warner Music Group, (Warner Chappell Music) Burbank, CA. There he established a progressive record of innovative and visionary leadership in marketing, licensing, and brand building for three divisions of this big-three record company with 3800 employees worldwide and more than $3.4B in annual revenues. Stephen led department teams with accountability for boosting revenues through global digital and international licensing for music content / rights across multiple media segments. Additionally, he designed the industry standard financial model and licensing economics for music licensing for mobile apps, social media games, and music platforms. For video games, Stephen developed an innovative licensing business model to drive revenue from $200k to $10mm over the last five years. He also engaged his relationship network to negotiate music placement in domestic and international film, TV and commercial projects. Stephen built revenue streams while protecting rights and usage restrictions for master recordings of represented artists/songs. Within Warner Music Group, Stephen held previous roles including Creative Director, International TV/Film & Video Game Licensing (Rhino Entertainment), and Artist & Repertoire Associate Director, Domestic Licensing (Warner Special Products, a division of AOL Time Warner). Stephen received his MBA from California State University, Northridge (David Nazarian College of Business and Economics), as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. He is an Adjunct Professor for the Music Industry Administration Master of Arts program at CSUN-Tseng College.
