Stephen Harris, Esq.

Stephen R. Harris was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in September 1974. He was educated at the University of Southern California, receiving his B.A. Degree in Economics in 1971, followed by attendance at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he received his J.D. Degree in June, 1974. After completion of law school, he worked at the Law Firm of Rogers, Monsey and Woodbury in Las Vegas, Nevada from September 1974 through December 1975, and then moved to Reno, Nevada, where he served as an assistant to the Federal Public Defender from January 1976 through August 1976. After leaving the Federal Public Defender's Office, he was a solo practitioner in Reno, Nevada, specializing primarily in business bankruptcy. He has been a partner at Belding, Harris & Petroni, Ltd., and subsequently Harris & Petroni, Ltd. Stephen is now the owner of Harris Law Practice LLC. His area of practice is primarily in the area of debtor and creditors' rights, bankruptcy, Chapter 11 bankruptcy for debtors and commercial litigation within the United States Bankruptcy Court.
