Here is a snapshot of my Lifes' Work.
Public Health:Since 2007, I have been part of successful evidence-based interventions, Social Marketing Campaigns on HIV/AIDS, and Diabetes at CAMBA and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
From 2010-2013, I supervised a federally-funded intervention called Brooklyn Partnership to Drive Down Diabetes.
From 2013-2015, I managed programs for the Greater Brooklyn Health Coalition. Our main programs were "EMBLEM HEALTH Live Healthy" and "Dance Your Heart Healthy."
At NYCDOH/MH, I support CDC Funded "Partnerships to Improve Community Health" initiatives in Healthy Living, and Tobacco Awareness with New York City community organizations.
It is my distinct honor to be on a team that leads the NYCDOH/MH Center for Health Equity's Our VOICE initiative, which creates Multi-Media Youth Activist for Health through Media Literacy, Filmmaking and dynamic large-scale community outreach!
Film, TV and Theatre:I have appeared over 50 Commercials, Independant and Feature Films as well as Shows on major networks.
I am a servant leader ACTS of EBC -A Christian Theatrical Society of Emmanuel Baptist Church-. We create Film and Theatre that highlights biblical scripture in a culturally-relevant way.
Music:In 2007, I formed The stephen beasley Project, a collective of musicians based in NYC, Louisville, Toronto and Atlanta. We've done over 60 shows, released "The Music of Transition," and 10 singles, all available at online retailers. Our songs, "Hope for the Future," made its Film and TV debut in 2012, in "Little Brother " and on "BET APOLLO LIVE."
In 2013, Fashion One TV licensed "Mirror Love" and "Life Takes a While" for their programming which reaches 120 Countries.
Our 2014 and 2015 singles are finding their way to fans ears and hearts globally!
My view of success is a Life, that involves work which contributes to the enhancement of the quality of peoples’ lives on a global level.
