I retired in July 2017 from the post of Marketing Manager with the now-closed Centre for Housing and Support, a part of the Cornwall College Further Education Group.

With a background in Radio and Video production, presentation, educational technology and new media marketing, I am now putting more time into projects such as shooting 4K video with my Mavic Pro drone and the Electric Automobile Association for which Sheila and I are Ambassadors. See www.ElectrAA.org.uk for which I am also the webmaster.

In 2014, we were early adopters of a Nissan Leaf 100% Electric Vehicle which we have recently upgraded to the latest version with 240 miles of range. We are also one of the first trial sites for 'Vehicle to Grid' a ground-breaking technology that uses EV batteries to balance the peaks and troughs of the National Electric Grid demand.

Sheila and I are co-presenters of "Driving Electric - the Present, not the Future" a well-received talk about living with an EV as your primary vehicle. We talk to WIs, Rotary, Probus, Classic Car clubs, U3A groups and other interested bodies. (Including yours?)

I have had an eclectic and interesting career spanning The John Lewis Partnership, Leroy Photographic, Bawtrees Photographic, Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, The Audio-visual department of University College London, Imperial College of Science and Technology TV Studio, Kent Police TV Unit, Tandy Corporation, Granada Group Plc, BusinessLand UK, JWP, Lantec, Elcom, Extended Systems, Sybase Corp and for my final nine and a half years, the Centre for Housing and Support.

Most importantly though, Dad to Matt, Claire and Tania and partner to Sheila Joynes, an amazing cellist, pianist, organist, choirmaster, published composer and music teacher.
