Hi, my name is Stephen Cabrera. I am a graduate student at Full Sail University from the sunny beaches of Miami, Florida completing a master’s degree in New Media Journalism. It is a journey that I did not expect to be on, but I am very excited to go on the ride!

I graduated from the University of Florida in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, spending a heavy focus on the sports journalism world. I began my journalism career in 2017 working for ESPN Gainesville on the UF campus, covering sports from professional football to Florida Gators lacrosse, which was an experience that I had gone into without knowing the sport. I attended games, press conferences, media availabilities and everything in-between.

I now work at CBS 4 WFOR in Doral, Florida as an associate producer for their morning newscasts. It is challenging going from journalism to production, but I have always been able to learn on the job, which is helping me become more and more versatile every day in the journalism world.

While I have a passion for sports, my passion for shoes and fashion have greatly taken over. I am hoping that I can keep you all entertained, as well as inform you on anything and everything that is going on in the sneakerhead community. I’m looking to be less of the traditional journalist and more of a journalist that you feel you can shoot the breeze with.
