Stephen Fealy

Dr. Stephen Fealy prepared for his career by earning a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College in New York. Dr. Stephen Fealy then pursued a Medical Degree at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons before completing a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Service at Cornell University Medical Center. He also finished a fellowship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery through America's top-rated Orthopaedic hospital, the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, and garnered certification with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Today, Dr. Fealy maintains specialty in orthopedic surgery, including arthroscopy and sports medicine. Often addressing injuries of the elbow, shoulder, ankle, and knee, he is an expert at knee and shoulder replacement.

In order to improve his field, Dr. Stephen Fealy has participated in conducting a number of clinical trials, including analyzing the impact of complete joint replacement of the knee and shoulder. He also assisted with the "Adhesive Capsulitis: A Quantitative Analysis of Myofibroblast Proliferation" trial. In addition to contributing to medical research, Dr. Fealy has added to the existing literature, authoring and co-authoring journal articles, textbooks, and chapters of books. He co-authored "Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy of the Knee: Etiology, Diagnosis and Treatment," which was published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine. He additionally compiled a case report on tibia breakage after surgery on the cruciate ligament.

As well as running his own private medical practice, Dr. Fealy works as an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical College. He also serves as Associate Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
