Stephen F. Shaw

I am an attorney practicing in the Intellectual Property group of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP, where I work to create and protect the intellectual property of entrepreneurs and established businesses, and to leverage the value of those IP assets through creative transactions.

I also have substantial tax experience with issues of exempt organizations and business owners, and expect to complete my LL.M. in Taxation at NYU in early 2013. My professional passion is working with entrepreneurs to build, establish, and maximize the value of their enterprise through sophisticated planning and legal strategy.

As a Marine, I spent four years as an Infantry officer with 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, including two combat tours to Iraq. I am currently assigned to a local Reserve unit in Greensboro NC.
