Stephen Panico

Stephen Panico is a native of Austin, TX. He graduated in 2011 from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Plan II Honors and History. He is also proud to call himself a Normandy Scholars Alumnus.

Stephen's professional skills have been developed in the tech industry. As a writing intern for Journyx, Inc. he had the opportunity to meet with numerous high-level executives as well as the CEO of Journyx on a regular basis to craft informative and interesting content for an educated audience.

Since then, Stephen has moved on to become the Marketing Specialist at Apptive, Inc. As one of the fastest growing startups in Austin, Apptive has given Stephen the unique ability to experience successful company growth from the inside as well as to massively diversify his skillset. He is excited to be able to effectively learn about and use cutting edge tools for marketing, customer service and analytics.

In addition to his experience working in a startup environment, Stephen enjoys supplementing his skillset by keeping up with the latest in business writing. He has been particularly impressed with the advances in lean entrepreneruship theory, growth marketing, and intelligent targeting. His favorite authors on the subject include Reis, Ferris, Godin, and Gladwell.

In his free time Stephen writes short fiction and is currently attempting his first full-length novel. He is also attempting to master the art of brewing high-quality espresso without a high quality espresso machine. On occasion Stephen will spend a portion of his time honing his archery technique. He has also just started towards his goal of becoming code-literate in Python, Ruby and/or Javascript.
