I am associate prof in urban planning at the TU Delft and my long term work is on ideas and models of urban space and scale. My particular interests are the form of the European city (in particular Amsterdam), forms of Chinese development (in particular Shenzhen and the PRD), energy, change and the politics of change and sustainable alternatives to the present unsustainable global order.
