In my position as the Head of Markets and Liquidity Programs, I am charged with the development and execution of the strategic direction of the capital markets group for Toyota's $100 billion U.S. financial services franchise. I have executive responsibilities for short & long term funding via the commercial paper, debt capital & ABS markets; liquid & long term investments; interest rate & f/x risk hedging programs and counterparty credit risk management; credit portfolio & global bank relationship management; and rating agency, investor relations & other marketing activities.I've enjoyed an incredibly rewarding career to date. During my tenure with Toyota, I've raised hundreds of billions in funds to help this car company become the largest retail car brand in America. More importantly, I've been able to help Toyota become a pioneer in the financial markets through initiatives like the development of "green securities” and in ushering in a new paradigm to help elevate minority, women-owned, & service-disabled veteran owned broker-dealers to achieve "lead underwriter” status alongside the traditional mega-banks and bulge-bracket firms; a truly rewarding endeavor. I’ve been honored to help Toyota’s reputation for leadership, innovation and inclusiveness in the financial markets match that demonstrated by the products that Toyota builds and sells worldwide.One of my biggest joys professionally is being part of a team; growing together with a great group of people, giving younger players the opportunity to develop and experience some of the thrills that I've had the great fortune to experience, and basking in our achievements. That's fun. That's rewarding. That's what great work is all about.
