Andrew Stephens

I was born on September 10, 1993 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and lived there up until 3 weeks ago when I moved to Athens. One thing to know about me is that I absolutley loved it there and would not trade my upbringing for the world. It was a great place to grow up, not too big, not too small, and of course, being raised in the shadows of Tiger Stadium was not bad either. If someone would have told 10 year old Andrew that he would not have been going to LSU, he would have thought they were crazy. I was born an LSU fanatic, not missing a home game in close to 12 years, but Athens is home now and I will certainly have to make the adjustment. Growing up, I played every sport under the sun, football, basketball, baseball, golf, name it, and I was probably playing it. Being a 4th generation legacy to Catholic High School, I was bound to end up there. Even though I knew I would attend high school there since birth, I was still a little skeptical to be attending an all boys Catholic school run by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. It was probably the best decision that my parents ever made though. It molded me into the person I want to be, matured and prepared me for college and the real world, and provided me with lifelong friends and memories that will last a lifetime. I am thrilled to be in Athens and see what the University of Georgia has in store for me, but Baton Rouge will always be home and will always hold a piece of my heart.
