The recipient of a bachelor of arts in business administration and a juris doctor from Kentucky Wesleyan College and DePaul University respectively, Stephen Singleteary began his career as an accountant and attorney with Chicago, Illinois's Continental Bank before following his own entrepreneurial pursuits in the food industry. Earlier in his career, Stephen Singleteary owned and operated 16 Burger King restaurants in four states and served as vice president of Burger King Corporation's Minority Franchise Association.
Stephen Singleteary leveraged his experience in franchise ownership to establish Diversity Food Processing (DFP) in 1994. Before selling the company in 1999, the ground beef processing company, which supplied beef patties to Burger King restaurants, was processing 86 million pounds of beef per year with annual sales beyond $84 million.
Upon selling DFP, Mr. Singleteary worked as a financial and legal advisor to recording artists and professional athletes. He currently serves as president of Legacy Food Solutions where he is working to establish a Chicago-based production facility. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Singleteary is a passionate fan of the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bulls.
