Stephen Valiquette

Stephen Valiquette feels most at home when he is not at home. Hailing from beautiful Ramara Township, the land of lakes, trees and rivers, Stephen finds solace in the outdoors. Never has he felt so compelled to be than when he is outdoors with a trusty companion with four legs. It was the early recognition of his love of being outside and at one with nature that led him to work in the camp industry from an early age. Realizing that he could share his gifts with children younger than him and produce a real impact on others year after year, the obvious choice led him to study Outdoor Adventure Leadership concurrently with Education and he has never wavered from that decision.

Stephen has been fortunate to have had some very important mentors in his life, both personal and professional, who have encouraged him along the way. Whether it was a camper who appreciated his empathy and made a connection with him to former teachers who call on him to help out on a regular basis because they value his capabilities and his impact on their program, he appreciates everyone who has walked beside him to this point. Stephen credits a solid family unit who always believes in him and supports him for his successes. He looks forward to the future and making positive impacts on those who cross his path. The best is yet to come!
