Stephen Wee

Graduated from the School of Architecture (NUS) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Architectural Studies. Did some Architecture Conservation work in the Singapore. Worked extensively in the exhibitions industry with a British Exhibtion design agency, Firbank Kempster Asia Pacific. .After a stint in Diakonos Productions, an events marketing agency, He joined Pico in 1992 and headed their Hong Kong office and North Asia Regional offices for close to five years as their Chief Designer.Appointed as Design Director at Pico Art in 1997. Portfolio of works included major events and exhibitions, retail and corporate interiors, and Museums and Visitor Centres.Later at Communications Design International CDI, a Sesdaq listed company, he worked with international clients in Retail and Corporate Branding projects in and around the Asia.In between that included a stint at MediTech Media, a full service medical marketing firm as Exhibitions Manager.In September 2008, following a calling to help shape the future of the design industry in Singapore, first as Section Head of Space Design courses and subsequently as Course Manager of the Creative Design Cluster which included the launch of a Performance Production Course.Currently still serving as Member of WDA's Design Manpower Skills & Training Council advising on the manpower Development of the Creative Industries in Singapore since 2007.
