Stephanie Young

Ever since I was young I have always been very creative and artistic. Art class was always my favorite and I took dance classes after school as well as extra art classes after school. I really have a passion for solving things in a creative and innovative manner. I hope to find a career path that allows me to use artistic ways of solving things but in a business setting. My dream job would to manage some type of event planning business. In highschool I was president of student council and my favorite part of that leadership role was doing homecoming decorations. Now in college I still go home every spring to help conduct decorations for the prom alongside all of the parents in town. The parents have appreciated my fresh ideas and unique approaches to setting up a perfect night for the students.

This past summer I worked as a Finance intern at a pharmaceutical type company where I learned that the work of a Finance or Accounting position will not satisfy me. I know that I need a job that allows me to use my creativity and express that strong trait in order to be happy and successful. I hope to one day to manage and oversee the planning of events specificially in corportions. I would love to plan company outings or even banquets or special events. Creativity will always be a strong part of me and I hope to find a job in business where it can also be utilized.
