Stephanie Wear is a marine biologist working for The Nature Conservancy. With hippy commune roots, it is no wonder she found her way into the environmental movement. After an undergrad degree from University of Virginia and a grad degree from UNC Chapel Hill - Stephanie set her sights on the Caribbean to figure out what she really wanted to do. She has traveled the world working with people that have devoted their lives to protecting coral reefs for the human communities that depend on them. As Director of Coral Reef Conservation, Stephanie is particularly interested in innovative solutions to stopping the killer threats that reefs and other sensitive ocean habitats face.
