Senyo is on a mission to see all young people access quality education regardless of their background. He studied English & Political Science at the University of Ghana; a PGDE at the University of Education, Winneba; completed the Social Ventures Program at Cambridge's Judge Business School & an MA International Education and Development at the University of Sussex, UK with Distinction. Stephen has facilitated numerous professional development sessions for teachers and young people on topics in education and career development across 12 countries, aside training over 50,000 young people since 2012.

Starting his professional journey at the Office of the President & serving as a Research Assistant at the Office of Parliament (Ghana), he was a founding executive of United Volunteers Network - a student-led organization that organised annual community service projects to teach, train, equip & inspire rural pupils. He is also founding member of Motivation2Learn, visiting several rural schools to facilitate sessions relevant to personal, academic & career development.

A Lead for Ghana alum, he taught English Language & led several literacy & global learning projects involving students in Ghana, Israel, the UK & US. He was instrumental in improving educational outcomes for over 600 pupils in Kalpohin, leading the establishment of the first-ever solar-powered library in Greater Tamale.

Stephen is the Lead Consultant at StepUP Consults where he provides career development training and mentorship to over 5,00 young people. He also worked/consulted for Move The World, EduSpots, CharisTouch Foundation, Eneza Education, University of Sussex, Age of Learning and Motive 8 Global, aside extensively volunteering with over 12 organisations seeking to advance education outcomes. In his previous role as Global Programmes Manager at London-based Education Partnerships Group, he worked with governments in Africa to shape education policy through contextually relevant research.

He was awarded Student Activist of the year in University of Ghana (2016), led a nationwide campaign involving 600+ graduates to secure a 40% increase in service remuneration (2017). He received the Ghana Youth Volunteer of the Year (2018), Inspirational Teacher of the Year (2019), Most Innovative Community Project (2019) and Most Influential Male Leader (2019) awards. He was appointed Global Youth Ambassador for Education (2020), received the Spirit of Sussex Gold Award (2022) & serves on the Youth Subgroup of the UN's Education Cannot Wait, among others.

Senyo is currently the Country Manager for Luminos Fund in Ghana, ensuring that thousands of out-of-school children receive accelerated education and integrate into school and supported to continue their education journey. In his free time he takes nature photos, read and play games.
