Steve Grice

Steve Grice began his engineering career studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Aston University. He then went on to do a PhD studying photonic sensing technologies with Prof Kate Sugden and Prof David Webb, also at Aston. A short period in industry working for an SME and a Consultancy firm was then followed by a return to Aston working on a post-doctoral project in Biomedical Engineering for the British Heart Foundation. It was from here Steve moved into the Further Education sector, joining Bournville College in 2012 as a Lecturer to establish their engineering department. Two promotions and a college merger later he is now Head of the School of Engineering at South and City College Birmingham.
