Steve Schulz J.P.

Steve is the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Manger for BAE Systems Australia, the nation's most versatile defense and security supplier delivering innovative, cost efficient and through-life supportive solutions and services in security, logistics and systems integration.

Earning an impressive list of TAFE Certifications in Fitting and Machining, CNC Machining, Mechanical Fitting, Fluid Power (Hydraulics & Pneumatics), Diesel Engine & Plant Maintenance, Structural Welding and Toolmaking. Steve launched his career as a Toolmaker for the Royal Australian Mint in 1987. Swiftly advancing through a number of increasingly more prominent positions such as Fitter and Machinist for the Royal Australian Air Force and GSE Maintenance Fitter for British Aerospace Australia, Steve joined BAE Systems in the role of GSE Maintenance and Training in 2000 and completed his Certificate IV in workplace training and assessment. Responsible for maintaining Aircraft Ground Support Equipment, Steve's innate leadership quickly prompted a promotion to GSE & Logistics Technical Coordinator.

Highly regarded for his commitment and profound knowledge, Steve received two company awards for both his achievement in F-18 Bid Preparation and his Innovation and Design, as well as a promotion to his current and all encompassing position as GSE Manager. Currently Steve oversees Ground Support and Test Equipment for the Fast Jet sector, specializing in asset management for BAE Systems and the Royal Australian Air Force on both the east coast (Williamtown, NSW) and west coast (Perth, WA) of Australia. Steve is currently completing his Certificate IV in Frontline Management and Advanced Diploma of Project Management.

Steve is affiliated with the Project Management Institute and the New South Wales Justices Association. In his free time, Steve enjoys paragliding and is affiliated with the Hang Gliding Federation of Australia and the Newcastle Hang Gliding Club.
