I am a proud founding partner and the creative mastermind of Santana Films, a recent reboot of Humphrey Bogart’s indie film company that he started in 1948.

Yes, that’s pretty damn cool.

I wear many hats. But the biggest are those of producer, writer and director.

Santana’s first noir thriller This Last Lonely Place, is a Kickstarter success story, and stars Rhys Coiro, Xander Berkeley and Carly Pope. We’re also in post-production on The White Orchid, which stars Olivia Thirlby. A few years back I wrote and produced the Sony-released feature The River Murders, starring Ray Liotta, Christian Slater and Ving Rhames. In 2006 I was the fuckin’ producer/director of the free speech documentary Fuck, which was released theatrically by THINKFilm and made audiences laugh and swear at over 100 film festivals around the world. Finally, my first film The Big Empty starred Jon Favreau, Kelsey Grammer, Daryl Hannah, Rachael Leigh Cook and Sean Bean. It was released theatrically by Artisan. I’m also quite proud of my “Special Thank You” credit on Napoleon Dynamite.
