Steve Bilson

The president and CEO of ReWater Systems in Thousand Oaks, California, Stephen “Steve” Bilson has been working in the greywater irrigation industry for well over a quarter of a century. Steve Bilson founded ReWater Systems, now in Thousand Oaks, California, to help property owners cut water and wastewater costs using a proprietary graywater recycling/irrigation system that pays for itself through savings.

His ReWater greywater recycling irrigation systems have been installed in more cities and counties than all other companies' systems combined, including what many in the construction industry mistakenly believe are bigger players, like Wahaso, Flotender, and others. ReWater's systems consistently cost far less than those other systems, and those other systems don't even provide irrigation.

Steve Bilson has often been quoted as saying that ReWater's only competition are the sewer treatment package systems that cost twice as much to dump the water as the ReWater system does to reuse it.

Under Steve Bilson's direction, ReWater initially installed its systems but subsequently switched to consulting on the installation of these systems, and ReWater now specializes in new multi-family residential construction and high end green projects such as LEED and Build it Green. By plumbing wastewater from each building’s showers, bathtubs, and washing machines separate from other wastewater, the ReWater system combines a site-specific filter package with proprietary underground drip irrigation emitters to keep landscaping well-watered and looking good. Steve Bilson works closely with architects and engineers to design site specific irrigation systems and ReWater's geographical reach is all of the western US.
