Born into a musical family (mother Rosemary Conte is a renowned New Jersey jazz singer), Steve was singing from the cradle. At 7 years old Steve began his musical career as a drummer and by age 10 he was playing guitar and effortlessly writing songs. One year later he and his brother John recorded their first "album" in the family living room with Steve singing, playing guitar and drums and "producing.”

A musician, singer and songwriter more versatile than Steve Conte would be hard to find. He has done it all: Rock/Blues/Soul/Funk/Folk/Punk/Glam and Americana. He’s worked with such diverse artists as Paul Simon, Willy DeVille, New York Dolls, Billy Squier, Maceo Parker, Eric Burdon, Willie Nile, Michael Monroe, Phoebe Snow and Yoko Kanno. With his own bands, Steve Conte & The Crazy Truth, Crown Jewels and The Contes his songs, singing and guitar playing have been heard on radio, many feature films, television programs, albums, animated series and video games.

His new solo album “Steve Conte NYC” will be released this spring.
