Steve Fisher

Hey! I'm the content nerd-herder and responsive design fanatic at The Republic of Quality. I lead the charge on the user experience end of our projects, coordinating research, strategy, visual and interaction design, and content strategy.

I have over 18 years experience in research, business strategy, experience strategy, visual and interaction design, and content strategy for the web. During this time I have worked both as a freelance designer and served as Director of User Experience in various agency and studio settings.

I'm proud to be a professional member of the Graphic Designer’s Society of Canada and to have served as the national VP of web for three years. Beyond my extensive client-based work, I have also taught numerous college courses on CSS, Web standards, UX, and creativity.

I was a judge for the international Adobe Design Achievement Awards 2011 and spend much of my time representing RoQ on the global stage as a sought-after speaker on topics like responsive web design, UX, open source, design thinking, and web process. He has presented at such conferences as TEDx, SXSW, Future of Web, HOW Interactive Design conference, Web Visions and DrupalCon, and is a contributor to HOW Design Magazine and .NET Magazine.
