Steve Haren

Personally I am happily married since 1999 with two gorgeous daughters and a large immediate and extended family. My family is always my priority and I strive every day to be the best father and husband possible in an effort to show my ladies every day how lucky I feel to have them in my life.

Professionally: With nearly 20 years experience in sales, sales management and sales training, the majority in marketing and advertising, I have been able to develop successful campaigns for locally owned business for a few hundred dollars per month and regional businesses with budgets in the millions of dollars.

I always keep my focus on building an investment with your marketing dollar. Marketing your product should never be a cost, always an investment that sees an absolute and measurable return. I view my role as someone who works with the business owner or representative to put in place not only the marketing but how success will be considered and measured.

On the sales side I have experienced great success with my own style and technique. I have trained several hundred salespeople and developed a number of sales training programs that generated success. My belief is that the key to being a successful salesperson is knowing when to shut up and listen, which is most of the time. I've heard it said that we have two ears and one mouth for a reason: we should listen twice as much as we talk. Sales is no different. Listening closely to what a client needs and wants and really learning about their business will help you identify those areas where you can help them the most or not at all. When salespeople walk in with guns ablaze saying "you gotta buy cuz I think you should" you do a disservice to your client and most of them will see right through it. Stop selling and be a true partner to your client and you will both prosper.
