I am the Academic Leader of Solent Creatives at Southampton Solent University (SSU) in the United Kingdom and hold the title of Associate Professor.
Solent Creatives provides organisations of all shapes and sizes with the opportunity to access Southampton Solent University's diverse pool of talent for freelance creative support at a cost-effective rate, whilst offering students the chance to build their professional portfolios and gain valuable real-world experience.
In this post, I am responsible for the day to day runnning of the Solent Creatives agency as well as lecturing on digital production to students studying BA(Hons) Media Culture and Production, BA(Hons) Media Production and MA Creative Enterprise. I also lecture on becoming a freelancer in the creative industries. My academic research is around investigating ways of improving the student experience through a variety of technology-enhanced means.
In my creative work I am web designer and music video director with broadcast credits on music channels in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. I also work in photograhy and music and have recently moved in to working on short films.
