About Me
I'm an author, playwright, and screenwriter from Anglesey, North Wales, with a Chemistry degree from North London University. My writing career began in 1991 as a contributor to Page, a Hamburg-based digital design magazine.

Books & Memoir

  • Co-authored Smile Now, Cry Later: Guns, Gangs, and Tattoos—My Life in Black and Gray (Seven Stories Press, New York/Penguin Random House)
    • Originated project, developed proposal, secured representation, and worked closely with publisher.
    • Promotional campaign included collaboration with ABC News Live, LA Natural History Museum (Tattoo exhibition), and multiple podcast and print interviews.
    • Selected as required reading for History of Latinos in the United States at Skyline College, California.
    • Foreword by Luis J. Rodriguez, Los Angeles Poet Laureate (2014–2016).
  • Der große Liebling: Troubleshooting für den Mac (ITP Wolfram, 1995). Non-fiction technology book published in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Plays & Theatre

  • Cracked Eggs—premiered at London’s Finborough Theatre; adapted into a short film starring Jared Harris (The Crown, Chernobyl) and directed by Eric Loren with screenings at Austin, Boston Underground, LA Shorts, and London Independent film festivals.
  • Baloopa’s Journey—arts council funded; staged in England.
  • Hero & Zero—arts council funded; staged in Austria and Lithuania.

Screenwriting & Film

  • Commissioned by Haas Silver Levene Films to adapt historical interviews and documents into a screenplay (The Secrets of the Notebook, Harper True/Arcade).

Journalism & Columns

  • Regular contributor to Page (Hamburg-based digital design magazine).
  • Wrote a column for Keys to Recovery, a Southern California publication that had a readership of 100,000+.
    • Created The Hope Interviews, featuring writers such as Kaveh Akbar, Leslie Jamison, Amy Dresner, and Patrick O’Neil.

Fiction

  • Recently completed a debut novel; now represented by a UK literary agent.
