I'm a business lawyer with over 15 years of diverse legal transactional experience. I made Shareholder in a big law firm then quit and started my own law firm on my own terms. I've also worked as in-house Corporate Counsel for a large corporation and as a trial attorney for the IRS.

Beginning in late 2012, I began spending a lot of time in Los Angeles, where my kids are actively involved in television and film projects. While in LA, I'm focused on the music industry, film industry and technology transactions. I'm constantly building a trusted network of professionals, including top lawyers, label executives, artists, producers, publishers, managers and agents.

I take pride in providing practical and insightful advice to clients entering into business deals and I carefully considers the needs and desires of my clients. I love to come up with creative structures and draft and negotiate transactions of all shapes and sizes, domestic and international, within a multitude of industries.

I have an expertise in the highly technical and constantly evolving world of digital content distribution, including music and video streaming and licensing. Many of my current projects involve artists, producers, websites and technology companies, some of which develop software and applications for internal use and exploitation. I recently negotiated a far-reaching SaaS (software as a service) agreement on behalf of a software developer enabling the roll-out of a custom platform solution in over 4,000 storefront locations within a Fortune 100 company.

I received my Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Georgetown University Law Center, J.D., cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and B.A., Economics, from Michigan State University. I'm licensed by the Washington, D.C. Bar and the State Bar of Michigan and I'm a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the California Copyright Conference, and the Association of Independent Music Publishers.
